Lions, Tigers and Giraffes... Oh My!

It was field trip day at the Regalado household! :) Today's destination: The Jacksonville Zoo. Of course, no field trip is complete without chaperones, so we were joined by Rea and Mama. I would have never gone to the zoo by myself otherwise!

Maya + animals = a guaranteed great time! She just loves them! She likes to name the animals and make the animal sounds. She especially loved feeding the giraffe and riding on the train.

Gabriel enjoyed the trip as well. He didn't pay much attention to the animals, but most certainly loved getting the attention. :)

I can always tell the kids enjoyed themselves when they are both fast asleep as soon as I get them into their car seats. Today I was able to drive all the way home in peace, and they even stayed asleep after I took them into the house! Woo hoo -- a break for me! Talk about life's simplest pleasures!
